Print Friendly, PDF & Email

It is obvious through the first two acts of Shakespeare  Merry Wives of Windsor that he is comparing to marriages. We see the Ford Marriage, which is full of distrust. Mr. Ford believes his wife is having an affair. He challenges the notion that of his wife being a “Life partner”. It  is easy to conclude that Mr.Ford is a terrible husband. On the other we have the Page marriage. Mr. Page is the complete opposite of Mr.Ford he trust his wife. He did not care about Falstaff’s plan because he trust his wife.  It is easy to conclude that he is a loving husband. The emphasis of trust in marriage is greatly exaggerated in Merry Wives of Windsor. We s are left wondering weather we should be paranoid about our relationships or marriages?  Should trust play a vital role in relationships/marriages? Would you emphasize trust in a relationship/marriage like Shakespeare has in Merry Wives of Windsor?
